NOTE: Despite the fact that the road is paved all the way from Poipet to Siem Reap, travelers coming overland by bus from Bangkok will probably arrive later than initially expected, so please advise if you are travelling overland from Bangkok so that the drivers will be able to pick you up from where you are dropped off.
Should you travel from Poipet to Siem Reap by taxi, please make sure to arrange with the driver to take you all the way and not drop you off just outside the town centre. There are no laws saying that taxis can't take travellers to their accommodation of choice.
